Have you enjoyed a meal on the new outdoor patio at Park & Elm yet? While we love their gorgeous bar and dining room inside, summer just calls for dinner and drinks on a patio, don’t you think?
Lucky for us, Park & Elm has a beautiful one! Bordered by an evergreen hedge with the downtown skyline peeking over top and surrounded by hydrangea on one side and planters overflowing with summer color on the other, an evening on the patio at Park & Elm while the sun sets is a must. And with a roof (with skylights!) overhead, you can make your reservation without worrying about the weather!
It’s easy to pick a summer dinner spot based on looks alone, but the amazing food and drink at Park & Elm make this Glens Falls patio a win-win! Their beverage program promises innovative twists on classic cocktails, and the Patio Spritz didn’t disappoint. Doesn’t it look like summer in a glass?!
There’s an amazing variety of small plates, but might we recommend the Deviled Fried Oysters to start? It’s everyone’s favorite backyard picnic food, elevated. You may just end up ordering a second round. We’ve done that on more than one occasion!
For our large plates, we chose the Seafood Risotto (we were told it was a fan favorite and immediately knew why upon diving in - delish!), and Tom loved the Pan-Roasted Faroe Island Salmon. A couple other favorites from past visits? We love the Grilled New York Strip Steak (with frites, of course!), and the Lemon Dill Beer Battered Fried Cod is always high on our list.
Finally, there’s always room for dessert, and it turns out their dessert menu is just as enticing (and hard to choose from!) as their dinner menu. Fresh summer flavors in the form of the Fresh Berry Tart and the Lemon, Lavender & Blueberry Crème Brûlée were the perfect end to the evening.
Will we see you there this summer? Save us a seat!
Special thanks to Glens Falls Hospital for making this story possible!
Whether you live in our region year-round or seasonally, or visit on vacation or for business, the Emergency Department is here for every one of us, any day, any time, we might need it. Now, the Emergency Department needs our help.
As a not-for-profit, community hospital, Glens Falls Hospital is committed to providing care to everyone who seeks it, regardless of their ability to pay. In 2022, the Hospital provided nearly $6.5 million in charity care. In addition, the health insurance payments the Hospital receives for most patients do not cover the cost of care, nor allow for major investments like the new Emergency Department project without community support.
