Happy weekend! And another snow day! Sharing a few ideas for the weekend agenda, including hockey games, a winter festival on West Mountain, a reason to road trip up north, and more…
Thunder Hockey: It’s a hockey weekend in Glens Falls with three home games in a row for the Adirondack Thunder! Cheer on the home team on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - the puck drops at 7pm on Friday and Saturday and at 3pm on Sunday. Let’s go Thunder! Tickets here.
Fire on the Mountain: Head up to West Mountain this Saturday night from 7-11pm for fireworks, a torchlight parade, a bonfire, live music, skiing and tubing (of course!), and lots more. Get the scoop here!
Support for Lietenant Doug Holl: You may have heard the good news that Glens Falls firefighter Lieutenant Doug Holl, who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease, will be able to retire with full benefits after his diagnosis brought his career to an early halt. If you’re interested in an additional way to help support him and his family during this time, we wanted to share a link to this t-shirt fundraiser, which is a partnership between Arca Ink and Glens Falls Firefighters IAFF Local 2230 - click here!
Fire and Ice Weekend: Have you been up to The Lodge at Schroon Lake? Fire and Ice Weekend sounds like a good time to check it out, with food and drink specials, an ice bar, cozy fires, live music, and more! Check out the details here.
Have a great weekend!

Special thanks to Glens Falls Hospital for making this story possible!
Whether you live in our region year-round or seasonally, or visit on vacation or for business, the Emergency Department is here for every one of us, any day, any time, we might need it. Now, the Emergency Department needs our help.
As a not-for-profit, community hospital, Glens Falls Hospital is committed to providing care to everyone who seeks it, regardless of their ability to pay. In 2022, the Hospital provided nearly $6.5 million in charity care. In addition, the health insurance payments the Hospital receives for most patients do not cover the cost of care, nor allow for major investments like the new Emergency Department project without community support.
Won’t you please make a gift today so that the new Sheridan Emergency Department is there for you and your family any day, any time, you need it? Click here to learn more.
